Am Anfang war ich begeistert – klein, leicht, mit Windows und sogar Office drauf. Mit der Extratastatur tippte ich E- Mails und Tabellen genauso schnell wie am PC. Allmählich merkte ich aber, dass ein 8-Zoll-Display für Windows ganz schön klein ist: kleine Menüs, wenig Platz für Texte und Tabellen. Da wäre ein Notebook mit größerem Bildschirm doch die bessere Wahl.

Mit dem Iconia W3 macht Acer vieles richtig: Das kleine 8,1-Zoll-Tablet für unter 400 Euro ist in seiner Leistungsklasse konkurrenzfähig und punktet mit prima Mobilität sowie sinnvoller Ausstattung Die größte Schwachstelle ist sein Display mit geringem Kontrast und nur sehr eingeschränkten Blickwinkeln. Immerhin spiegelt es kaum, verhindert aber doch eine bessere Platzierung in den Chip Top 10.
Das W3-810 punktet mit ordentlicher Ausstattung, gutem Handling und langen Akkulaufzeiten. Das Display ist eher durchschnittlich.
