Die Blu-ray hat den Massenmarkt endgültig erobert - nicht nur die Disc-Preise fallen kontinuierlich, sondern auch die Kosten für Player. So kostet der Sony BDP-S 370 laut Liste nur 180 Euro, ist dafür aber mit Multimedia und anderen Bonbons vollgestopft. Netzwelt bat den Sony in Testlabor und Heimkino.
Fazit
Das einzige Haar in der Suppe, das man beim Sony BDP-S 370 finden kann, sind zu wenige Bildregler. Das war es aber auch schon an Kritik, schließlich haben wir es hier mit einem superflachen, schnellen und sparsamen Gerät zu tun, das auch in Sachen Multimedia mit wesentlich teureren Playern mithalten kann. Sein Blu-ray- und DVD-Bild grenzt ohnehin an Perfektion. In Onlineshops kann man das gute Stück bereits für 110 Euro bestellen.

Dafür ist er der absolute Kauftipp. Für 180 Euro gibt der Player SACDs wieder, ist DNLA-Client und kann auf das immense Online-Angebot von BRAVIA Internet Video zugreifen.

Not only do they offer much better picture quality than DVD players, vendors are also going to considerable effort to make sure there are extra value features, sweetening the deal for people making the move from DVD to Blu-ray. Even though the Sony BDP-S370 costs S$299, it's no exception.

Der Sony BDP-S370 gehört mit einem Preis von rund 130 Euro zu den günstigsten Blu-ray-Playern auf dem Markt. Trotzdem müssen Käufer fast keine Abstriche machen. Bild- und Tonqualität sind toll. Das Gerät bietet Online-Features und gibt DivX- und MKV-Dateien mit HD-Auflösung wieder. Wir hätten uns lediglich gewünscht, dass der Hersteller auch für dieses Modell ein 3D-Update herausbringt.

The BDP-S370 is extremely compact. If it weren't for the Blu-ray logo, you could be forgiven for thinking it was just another DVD player. Only a couple of years ago, Blu-ray players were huge -- for reasons we still don't understand -- and our reference machine, the Sony BDP-S500, is gigantic when compared to this little unit.

The new Sony BDP-S370 Blu-ray player packs quite a punch in terms of performance and features. It's an ideal companion for an HDTV. It has an all-black smooth exterior, very similar to the monolithic design claims of the Sony Bravia TV. Its surface doesn't attract fingerprints and the BDP-S370 Blu-ray player is nice, compact and quite sleek, measuring just over an inch thick.

There's plenty to like about the Sony BDP-S370 Blu-ray player. It's a quick Blu-ray player with a snappy interface and an extensive feature set. You can connect to the Internet and surf YouTube (among other media streaming sites). It has a fully functional remote control and also allows you to view photos and videos off a USB drive. If you have a Sony BRAVIA HDTV and you want a Blu-ray player, the Sony BDP-S370 is a no-brainer.
